Hand-woven and engraved Tibetan bowls
Hand-woven Tibetan bowls are a beautiful piece of handicraft. These are traditional tools used for centuries across Asia. Tibetan bowls are also known as singing bowls because of the picturesque sound they make when handled properly.
The bowls are variously attuned to the frequency of the basic chakras - this large, beautifully decorated bowl, 33 cm in diameter, for example, is attuned to the first Manipur chakra, which according to some interpretations is the centre of the personality's will and also governs one's emotional attachments and mental processes. The deity of the Manipur chakra is the son of Shiva Ganesha. The sound of this particular bowl is amazing and completely fades away after a few minutes.
Tibetan bowls not only help you relax and meditate, they are also a great addition to your interior. Thanks to the elaborate details and the beautiful golden copper colour, they perfectly complement the genius loci of your home. This particular bowl was personally selected and brought back from Kathmandu, Nepal.
